This ebook is a collaboration between Edinburgh Central Library and Edinburgh College of Art. Twelve Master of Fine Arts Postgraduate illustration students were tasked to create a piece of art inspired by the library, either as a building or by the works within it. The result is an eclectic collection of artistic works worked in various different mediums including drawing, textiles, photography and painting. As well as varied media the works also show wide ranging subject matter and demonstrate how there is no end to the inspiration that can be drawn from a library. The artists who collaborated on the project were Mara Aum, Laura Donnan, Aisling Duffy, Caroline Halliwell, Xiuyuan Hu, Jasmine Huang, Philip Longson, Eilidh Muldoon, Eunyoung Seo, Alice Spicer, Holly Sterling and Jessica Stoddard. In essence, this ebook is about inspiration, using the library as a muse.
